A division of global industrial services company Hertel has relocated its offices to the site’s Business Village scheme.
Hertel Offshore has signed up for a 5,000 sq ft unit, which will be the company’s new headquarters and will house its technical and administrative workforce.
The move follows a period of growth for the Hertel Offshore business that resulted in it outgrowing its former premises.
Hertel Offshore Managing Director Jon Rokk said that the company had been attracted to the site by Wynyard Park’s excellent reputation.
“We have recently moved to bigger and more modern fabrication facilities to support our growth and the recent contracts we have won. It was therefore obvious that our next move was to look for new offices for our support and HQ staff,” he added.
“We were very impressed with the facilities available at Wynyard Park for both staff and clients. It also offers excellent transport links and we have a wide range of similar businesses on site.”
Approximately 40 staff including engineers, directors, purchasing, accounts, administration and HR have moved into the Business Village premises.
Wynyard Park Business Village offers office accommodation fitted out to high standard with each building featuring attractive brick and cedar elevations, with feature glazing and high quality reception/washroom facilities. The office suites are available to buy or to let.
Matt Johnson, Wynyard Park’s Development Manager, welcomed the announcement of such a prominent new tenant.
“Hertel Offshore is a successful and growing business that we are very proud to have on the park,” he added.
“We are very pleased with the calibre of businesses that choose to be located at Wynyard Park all of which will benefit from our ongoing commitment to maintain the highest standards in everything we have to offer.”
Since Wynyard Park Ltd took control of the site less than 5 years ago it has managed to attract over £250m of private investment and now has 55 companies and over 1000 employees based at the park.
Wynyard Park Ltd, the site’s developers, recently unveiled exciting plans for an aspirational new vision that promises a flagship development not only for the region but the whole of the UK. The ambitious scheme will focus on the development of a mixed-use sustainable community where people can work, rest and play in a woodland setting which could create over 12,000 jobs for the region and will include plans for housing.
