Interior Services Group plc, which delivers new build, refurbishment and fit out services and has offices in 11 countries worldwide, has taken 5,000sq ft of office space at the prestigious Tees Valley business park.

Initially on site to manage the construction of the new EDS low energy data centre, the new ISG facility gives the company an ideal opportunity to promote itself in the region.

Divisional Director, Paul Pompili, said they were keen to focus on new construction opportunities across all ISG’s business sectors.

“This central North East location provides excellent transport and technical communications facilities allowing us to serve an extensive area from a local base,” he explained.

EDS, an HP company, is investing millions of pounds to take occupancy of the business park’s 300,000 sq ft warehouse facility known as Wynyard 360. ISG is converting it into a high tech data centre facility and, until now, has used Wynyard 360 as its base. From now on though, ISG will have its own offices nearby.

“The Wynyard Park office facility provides a high standard of office accommodation which synergises with the ISG ethos of our business,” added Paul Pompili.

The construction of the EDS Data Centre has provided 350 jobs for local skilled people since September last year and will continue to do so until the end of September 2009.

Chris Musgrave, chief executive of Wynyard Park Ltd, the company that owns the 700-acre Wynyard Park development, said ISG provided its services throughout Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia and for it to choose Wynyard Park for its North East base was a real compliment.

“Attracting EDS was exciting but to have ISG move in on the back of it is further evidence that the development is of the right calibre to attract top international companies,” added Chris. “ It gives us the confidence to carry on creating first class facilities for businesses and organisations that demand only the best!”

ISG is also currently constructing numerous other prestigious projects throughout the UK, including the Velodrome for the 2012 London Olympics.
